Sho Madjozi struggles to come to terms with the death of her sister: 'There's nothing you can do about it'

Cape Town - South African music artists Sho Madjozi is struggling to come to terms with the sudden death of her sister, Makhanani "Nyeleti" Manganye.

Nyeleti died in a car accident on 17 December in Bungeni village, Limpopo and was to laid to rest on 22 December.

Sho has since, made her return to Twitter after taking a break from social media and cancelling public appearances - following her sister's untimely death.

About the grieving process, she shared on Twitter: "You guys did not mention that the toughest thing after losing someone close to you is believing it. That the biggest effort will be spent suppressing the hope that there's been a mistake, that the person is going to reappear somehow and that life will go back to normal."

She added that when she wakes up in the morning, it's like she is "being introduced to the news all over again."

What has made the experience even more painful is the time of year, Sho explains. "Everyone else is celebrating, and their lives are perfect," she added, saying: "If you're feeling like you're the only one. You're not. I'm hurting too."

Sho performed at Fact Durban Rocks on 31 January, and fans reached out on social media praising her on a  fantastic performance.
