Cape Town - As the countdown to Somizi and Mohale’s white wedding starts, the couple has one more request from their guests – to wear red bottom shoes at the event.
According to Business Insider, Christian Louboutin offers the most expensive red bottom shoes which the company trademarked. The shoes are a symbol of status with the cheapest pair being pumps which retail for $695 (R10 117) and the most expensive being heels which retail for $6,000 (R87 300).
And with those prices, it really does seem that the guests will really be breathing through the wound.
In an invite that Somizi shared on his Twitter page, the couple makes the request and shares that the dress code will be white attire.
“Dear Alan Solomon. Trusting that your outfit is coming together, just one last request from us: can your shoes please be Red bottoms. We are obsessed with the idea of a stunning red bottom group picture, for that touch of finesse,” the invite read.
“White being the colour of the day will be beautifully complimented by the red, a blend and coming together of the colours of love,” it continued before giving the guests a click on link on which they would be reminded of what to wear.
“Our guests are breathing through the wound #somhalewhitewedding,” Somizi captioned a picture of the invite.
It is not the first time that the couple has requested for something luxurious from their guests.
During their lavish traditional wedding that took place in September last year, Somhale sent out a pricey gift registry in which they asked their guests to help them upgrade their kitchen with items from luxury kitchenware brand Le Creuset. The prices ranged from R195 for a meat thermometer to R7 350 for a casserole pot.
