Cape Town - Congratulations are in order for radio personality Somizi Mhlongo, who announced and launched his collaboration with GH Mumm champagne on Sunday.
This makes him the first celebrity in Africa to have his own champagne under GH Mumm.
Taking to his Twitter page, the Idols SA judge shared,
“Today is one of many special days of my life and career, something epic and iconic is being launched today.....me being the first in the continent to have it.....u will know in a few hours #MummBrunch #SomiziBrunch @ghmumm_sa”.

His big launch was attended by Somizi's close friends such as Basetsana Kumalo, Lerato Sengadi, TT Mba, his hubby Mohale Motaung and the GH team from Johannesburg and Cape Town.
The 46-year-old also jetted off to France to secure the deal and posted snaps of his trip on his Instagram page.

Congratulatory messages from his hubby and fans flooded his timeline.
"So, we have just launched the limited G.H. Mumm Champagne (Somizi) bottle. I am a super-proud husband. Break those boundaries, babe!" Mohale wrote.
