Cape Town - Idols SA judge Somizi Mhlongo is making a few promises to himself.

The choreographer recently took to his Instagram page to share an open letter he wrote to himself and from what he wrote, it is clear that he is prioritising self-love.

"I owe myself a huge apology. I’m really sorry for not loving you the way I should, and the way you deserve to be loved," he wrote.

"I’m sorry for not putting you first before anything and anyone. I’m sorry for doubting how awesome, powerful and important you are. I promise to prioritize your needs. Your wants. And give you more attention than I’ve ever given. But most of all I will love you better. I hope my apology is accepted. I love you," he added.

The 46-year-old shared a lot about his personal life on the current season of Living The Dream With Somizi and opened up about his struggle with depression.
