Sophie Ndaba addresses fake death reports: 'It's extremely traumatic to my family and friends'

Johannesburg – Actress Sophie Ndaba found herself on the Twitter trending page on Friday when fake reports that she had died circulated on the social media platform - again!

The hashtag #RIPSophieNdaba was seen all around Twitter, leaving many users saddened and confused by the news.

Tweeps quickly realised that this was a hoax, pointing out that Sophie is still alive and kicking.

After realising what had happened, Sophie took to her Instagram account to address the death hoax which she called "heartbreaking".

"Hi darlings, it's heartbreaking to read messages that I'm dead. It's the second time this year this has happened and it's extremely traumatic to my family and especially my kids. To address the rumors I'm alive and kicking God willing I'm not going anywhere anytime soon [sic]."

As the TV star pointed out in her post, it is not the first time that she has been the victim of a death hoax – in 2018, Sophie's daughter dismissed claims that the actress had died after rumours were spread on social media.
