Cape Town - Sophie Ndaba, who was one of sixteen Generations actors fired from the show in 2014 after protesting for better pay, says she has forgiven former boss Mfundi Vundla and has moved on with her life.
In an interview on SABC3’s Trending SA on Wednesday night, Sophie revealed she has moved on with her life and has even taken it a step further; Mfundi is now her mentor.
After playing the role of Queen Moroka on Generations, Sophie ventured into entrepreneurship and now owns an events company that does weddings and other events.
Last year married for the third time, telling Trending SA “It’s my third but most fabulous marriage”.
On being mentored by Mfundi Vundla, Sophie says he’s the best person to learn from as he has produced the most successful TV show in South Africa to date.
“I’ve always seen Mfundi as a father figure – and I believe in honesty. When I felt he was wrong I told him he was wrong. And I felt that it was time, not to necessarily make peace, but to say, ‘let’s get on with it’.
“I mean, why am I moving ten steps back when I should be moving ten steps forward? So I moved ten steps forward,” she says.
