Cape Town - ‘Tis the season for celebration and merriment.

Festive cheer is here, and it’s a time for family, food and fun.

Some of our favourite local celebs share how they’ll be spending the most wonderful time of the year.

Sherlin Barends

KFM’s resident breakfast show star is always amped up and giving us bubbly spirits to brighten up the mornings, but this Christmas she’ll be sharing the servings with her family.

For Barends, family is a priority this Christmas especially at the lunch table.

“I plan on eating my weight in gammon and trifle. Christmas in the Barends family is a celebration of family and good food!”

She also plans to make time for games. “My family is very competitive so I look forward to playing – and winning – board games like 30 Seconds,” says the beautiful presenter.

Lee-Ann Liebenberg

The stunning model and actress is all about this glamour and we can be sure she’ll serve looks this festive. Lee-Ann and her family will be in Cape Town this Christmas to dine with her nearest and dearest to savour the special memories.

“We’ll be spending Christmas in Cape Town with close friends of ours for a traditional Christmas lunch. My friend is a brilliant cook, unlike me, so we are in for a real treat,” says the beauty.

Zoë Brown

The Cape Town-born KFM presenter is looking to spend some quality time with the latest addition to their family, breaking away from the hustle and bustle, and enjoying her mom’s finest dishes.

“I’m heading home to Durban to join the family in celebrating my nephew's first little Christmas. It's going to be a day filled with family and snapping loads of photos to capture every moment,” says Zoë.

“I'm looking forward to being with my family and taking a well-deserved break from my emails and responsibilities. I'm excited to be present with my family and just enjoy their company and, of course, my mom's food!”

Kyeezi

Good Hope FM’s Drive presenter is looking forward to a much needed-break.

“This Christmas is the first one in seven years I’ll actually be taking time off radio to be with family, so I’m looking forward to being a couch potato with all the food I’ll be eating! The plan is to keep my appetite for that huge lunch and pass out, wake up and eat again!”

The host says he’s most looking forward to spending a full day with his family as his “nephews and nieces never get their Uncle Kyeezi for the whole day”.
