The Juice got got!

Johannesburg – After an amazing first season, MTV’s show, #YouGotGot, is back for another round – The Juice found out about this the hard way!

Here’s what happened:

After receiving a VIP invitation to attend an event for MTV’s hottest new show, “Celebrities Exposed”, we set out on Monday to find out what it was all about. With pen and notepad in hand, we found ourselves in a room filled with anxious journalists, happily munching away as we awaited the details on this steamy new show.

The premise of the show: digging deep into the private lives of SA’s biggest names to uncover the dirt (with the help of private detectives, of course!)

Turns out, there is no show! We got got! Although, in hindsight, the first clue should have been when MTV VJ, Sandile Ntshingila, got splashed in the face with a glass of water by comedian, Toll A$$ Mo.

The setup:

MTV pulled this elaborate, and admittedly quite clever prank, to announce the new season of their prank show, #YouGotGot. They even got radio presenter/comedian, Anele Mdoda, to join in on the act, playing the fake show’s executive producer.

The event was hosted by Sandile Nsthingila, who got quite the surprise when Toll A$$ Mo stepped on stage in a frenzy, angry at what the new show was about to “expose” about his private life. Good job MTV, we definitely fell for it!

New season

The new season of #YouGotGot premiers Monday night across Africa on MTV at 21:35, and on MTV Base from Saturday, 14 May, at 12:00. The show also boasts a new international audience, now airing on MTV Euro, which reaches over 100 million households in Europe and the Middle East.

Season 2 sees more local stars being pranked, including Cassper Nyovest, Anele Mdoda and EMTEE. Even international celebrities are not safe as the crew managed to prank Arthur Chipman, excutive producer of LA Fashion Week.
