This is what will happen to Sandy Mokwena's character on Scandal!

Cape Town - Well-known local actor Sandy Mokwena died on Wednesday at the age of 68.

Mokwena was best-known for his role as Eddie Khumalo on the e.tv soapie Scandal!.

Speaking to The Juice e.tv publicist, Michael Pocock, said that the production company - Ohcre Moving Pictures - have decided to "keep Eddie Khumalo as long as possible."

"The character was due to retire, so he is able to continue in our memories in this way," he said.

Mokwena's funeral will take place on 2 February at Grace Bible Church in Soweto. He will be laid to rest at Heroes Acre in West Park Cemetery, Johannesburg
