Johannesburg – Over the past year we’ve watched Somizi and Unathi Msengana’s relationship blossom from just friends to BFFs. The stars first became close when they shared the judging panel on the 11th season of South African Idols, and since then they just can’t get enough of each other.
Take a look at some of our favourite Somizi and Unathi snaps from the past year.
1. July 2015: Somizi joins SA Idols
Somizi made his debut as an SA Idols judge in 2015, and not only was he popular with the fans but with Unathi too.
2. February 2016: Gym buddies
Not long after the choreographer joined the Idols panel he was already spotted getting closer to Unathi. The two soon became workout buddies.
3. April 2016: This seat is taken
Lunch date on a plane? Why not.
4. April 2016: Spa date
Dressed in their Idols robes, "Somsom" (as Unathi calls him) and his bestie spent some quality time together at a spa in April.
5. April 2016: Spiritual twins
In that same month Unathi shared her love for Somizi on her Instagram account, writing a heartfelt message to her "spiritual twin."
6. June 2016: Mimosa day
Who needs work as an excuse to spend time together? Not these two. Besides, friendship is a 24-hour job.
7. July 2016: "Work things with family"
With the new season of SA Idols underway, and with Somizi's new slot on Metro FM these bestie will be spending a whole lot more time together. Not that they seem to mind.
