Trevor Noah and actor Akin Omotoso receive E! Africa Pop Culture Awards

Cape Town - Producer Akin Omotoso along with comedian now turned Daily Show presenter Trevor Noah have been awarded E! Africa Pop Culture Awards.

E! Africa took to their Instagram page to announce the local recipients, while Trevor received a television award, Akin, who is an award-winning film director, bagged a film award. 

Local DJ Black Coffee was also one of the recently awarded stars in the pop culture category for music.

This recognition from E! comes ahead of their 15-year anniversary celebration which will feature a party with some of the most prominent celebrities such as Bonang Matheba and Minnie Dlamini to list a few.
