Cape Town - Trevor Noah has been living quite the life – from hanging out with Dave Chappelle to inspiring Oprah. And now, casually sharing Twitter jokes with Bill Gates.

The Daily Show host visited Mzansi in April and launched the Trevor Noah foundation. The foundation is a non-profit organisation that equips orphans and vulnerable youth with education, life skills, and social capital necessary to pursue further opportunity after finishing high school.

At the launch, Noah said that it was his goal to start the “programme, and better understand how to help schools move forward. Then, we want to help these schools become self-sufficient. Each experience will inform the next. Today is only the beginning”.

Gates, who has said in the past that Noah is one of his favourite comedians, came to his praise on Wednesday. He tweeted, “Congrats @Trevornoah on the launch of your foundation. I can’t wait to see what you accomplish”.

In response, the 34 year old funnyman then tweeted sayings, “Thank you Bill. You handle malaria I'll figure out schools.”

Noah was referring to Gates' aim to end Malaria.

According to Fortune, the billionaire philanthropist, worth an estimated $92 billion (R1.14 trillion), announced on Wednesday that The Gates Foundation will invest $1 billion (R11.96 billion) through 2023 to fund research and development efforts to end malaria.

Looks like there’s a new dream team around!
