Cape Town - Ukhozi FM presenters Khathide 'Tshathugodo' Ngobe and Zimiphi 'Zimdollar' Biyela are in hot water after playing a song that is regarded sexually explicit and not on the station's playlist.

The SABC’s spokesperson Mmoni Seapolelo confirmed that the duo played the song and that the song called Suka Phezukwami by artist Swenkangemali is inappropriate for the station's audience.

"The SABC would like to reiterate that the song Suka phezukwami is not on Ukhozi FM playlist following a decision that the song is sexually explicit and inappropriate for the station's audience," she explained.

Mmoni quickly took the chance to apologise on behalf of the broadcaster for the incident and promised that necessary disciplinary measures will be put in place.

"It is however regrettable that this song was played as part of a sponsored DJ feature on the Sigiya ngengoma show. The station acknowledges that due process was not followed, and appropriate action will be taken," she concluded.
