Cape Town - Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters arrived back in South Africa for the first time since being crowned Miss Universe on Wednesday.
The dark-haired beauty walked through the international arrivals doors at O.R Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg to a crowd of adoring fans, aspiring beauty queens, friends and family.
South Africans were met with a radiant Demi-Leigh wearing a red jumpsuit and gorgeous side-swept locks.
The 22-year-old from Sedgefield was welcomed home by her parents, who hadn't seen their daughter since she crowned Miss Universe in November.
Demi-Leigh's pageant coach - Werner Wessels - let us in on pageant secret he shared with her before the Miss Universe pageant: " [I told Demi-Leigh] If you get to the top two, make sure you're hands are on top, cause there is a superstition in pageantry that the girl who's hands are on top is going to win."
