WATCH: Demi-Leigh looks regal in red as SA welcomes her home

Cape Town - Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters arrived back in South Africa for the first time since being crowned Miss Universe on Wednesday.

The dark-haired beauty walked through the international arrivals doors at O.R Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg to a crowd of adoring fans, aspiring beauty queens, friends and family.

The 22-year-old from Sedgefield was welcomed home by her parents, who hadn't seen their daughter since she crowned Miss Universe in November.
