Johannesburg – Riky Rick as a newsreader and Cassper Nyovest as a weatherman – those are just some of the fun scenes in Riky’s new music video for his track Stay Shining.
The rapper released the video, which also features his wife and kids, on Friday.
“The video is just me stepping out of my comfort zone having fun. It works perfectly well for this festive season as everyone is in a light mood,” the rapper said in a press statement.
The music video starts off by showing Riky with his real family in what looks like a simple picket fence life. The star then uses scenes reminiscent of TKZee’s hit Dlala Mapantsula. Other parts of the video see Riky and Professor playing news anchors, while Cassper Nyovest is the weatherman.
“It was nice to take people in that relaxed atmosphere because that’s the vibe I want to share for Stay Shining. The whole project is just about having fun and that’s why the video is also on the same level,” Riky explained.
