WATCH: Local stars walk the red carpet at 3 Days to Go movie premiere

Cape Town - The Johannesburg premiere of 3 Days to Go took place on Wednesday at Ster-Kinekor, Sandton City.

Audiences couldn't get enough of the stars on the red carpet and this heart-warming film that serves a slice of life with a storyline applicable to any culture and race.

They all agreed that you will recognise someone you know in the story... or you may even recognise yourself! 

The stars from the movie - Leeanda Reddy, Jonathan Boynton-Lee, Tumi Morake, Zakeeya Patel, Rahul Brijnath, Kajal Bagwandeen and Ashish Gangepersad - took to the red carpet together with award-winning producer and writer, Bianca Isaac - who makes her directorial debut with this film - and producer, Gregory Mthanji to talk to the media about this wonderful movie with a delightful mix of humour, drama and emotions, all closely packed over a span of three days.

The movie tells the story of adult siblings who, after the sudden death of their father, are forced to return to their childhood home  - with an assortment of partners, children and issues in tow.

They need to survive three days in each other's company, under one roof, before they spread their father's ashes and part ways.

The film was produced in association with the KZN Film Commission (KZNFC), the IDC and the DTI.

It will be released in cinemas nationwide on 25 January 2019 by Filmfinity (Pty) Ltd.
