Cape Town - South African pop singer Mathew Gold came into our studio and blew us away with two cover versions of songs that you might not know.
One is a classic called Run from a British duo called Lighthouse Family and the other is a more edgy song by Twenty-One Pilots and called Heathens, you might recognise it from the soundtrack of the movie, Suicide Squad.
Mathew also gave us the scoop behind his new album and what the process was like behind-the-scenes.

Here's what Mathew had to say about working on his new album and the influences: "so much can happen in four years (between albums) there's girls and my girlfriend and I lost my best friend in a motorbike accident. So there's a lot of nostalgia just in terms of it being the only way that I can express myself. There's that and then for the real music lovers there's sexy RnB feel-good music. I really tried to almost create my own style of South African RnB."
