WATCH: Minnie Dlamini reveals how bae popped the question

Johannesburg – The world stood still for a second when we found out about Minnie Dlamini’s engagement in 2016.

Speaking to The Real Goboza, the star finally opened up about how her hubby-to-be Quinton Jones popped the question.

Explaining how everything went down, Minnie says she had spent a lot of time travelling and had not seen her bae in a while. Taking a break from the rest of the world, the two took a drive to a lake house. Upon arrival she noticed that Quinton had all her favourite things set out.

"He had all my favourite food, all my favourite stuff, it was a beautiful house. And then at sunset he literally was like, 'please get me a glass of champaign'. So I go to the kitchen, pour him a glass, pour myself a glass," she said.

When she returned with the bubbly the presenter says she was overwhelmed by the beauty of the place, not knowing what Quinton had planned.

“He’s like, ‘baby’, I was like, ‘yes?.’ And his like ‘baby’, and I was like, ‘what?’ And then I turned around and he was on his knee,” she explains.

The star admits that she was shocked and a little confused when it happened. After saying yes, she shared the news with her family and friends. And of course, shared that snap of her gorgeous ring with fans on Instagram.

Although she didn’t give too much away about the wedding, Minnie did mention that she does not plan on being engaged for too long.
