WATCH: Miss SA takes to the runway at New York Fashion Week

Johannesburg – New York Fashion Week has officially kicked off, and Miss SA Zizibini Tunzi was there to take it all in.

Forget a front-row seat, the beauty queen took it a step further and actually walked the runway.

Sharing a clip of Zozibini walking in SA designer Laduma Ngxokolo's show, Jen Su wrote: "What a gorgeous opening @official_misssa @zozitunzi for @maxhosa @laduma exquisite Mpondoland-inspired gown."

Former Miss SA and Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters was also spotted on the Fashion Week runway.

Zozibini and Demi-Leigh also had the chance to hang out in the Big Apple. The pair were pictured with pageant coach Werner Wessels and the head of the Miss SA Organisation Stephanie Weil.
