Cape Town - The 25th annual South African Music Awards took place at Sun City over the weekend and saw Sho Madjozi cementing her place in the local entertainment industry. 

Sjava scooped up the prestigious Album of the Year and Best Afro Pop Album awards, while DJ Black Coffee sealed the double-win with two gongs for Male Artist of the Year and Best Collaboration Award with David Guetta for Drive.

The night also saw performances by Kelly Khumalo, Sho Madjozi, DJ Sumbody, Dladla Mshunqisi, DJ Tira, Distruction Boyz, Sun-El Musician and Mobi Dixon. 

Local celebrities Nomzamo Mbatha, Skolopad, Kelly Khumalo, Chad da Don, Lady Zamar and Gigi Lamayne walked the red carpet.
