Cape Town - South African comedian Trevor Noah is the latest celebrity to appear on the popular web series, Hot Ones.
The premise of the show is celebrities being interviewed by Sean Evans while digging into a platter of increasingly spicy chicken wings.
Before the interview kicked off, Trevor confessed to Sean, that he was intimidated by the platter in front of him, saying: "I love chicken wings, I like hot food, but when it's a competition, it's never a good idea. Any hot food endeavour I have ever gone on has ended badly."
Fellow South African and Oscar award-winning actress Charlize Theron appeared on the show a month ago and taught Sean an Afrikaans swear word, and when asked to teach him a Zulu phrase that he can incorporate into his everyday life, the comedian replied: "Ngiyalambile."
Which translates to "I am hungry."

In a segment of the show called Explain that Gram, Trevor was asked to explain the first red-carpet selfie he took with Chrissy Teigen and John Legend at The Met Gala in 2015.
He revealed that he was still relatively new to Los Angeles at the time, and didn't know anybody at the event, but Chrissy invited him to hang out with them, as he "didn't have any friends."
She also gave him some friendly advice for taking over The Daily Show from John Steward, saying: "Don't fuck it up."
