Wowza! Check out Melinda Bam on the cover of Women’s Health!

Cape Town - Women’s Health on Tuesday announced that former Miss SA and TV personality Melinda Bam will be its March cover star.

Those attending Women’s Health Fit Night Out (read more below) on 17 February will be the first to see the hot new issue and will also have the chance to meet Melinda.

Fans of SABC 3’s Tropika Island of Treasure (#TIOT8) already got a sneak peek behind the scenes of Melinda’s cover shoot, even though they might not have realised it!

In the first episode of the season, Melinda can be seen on the set of a photo shoot. Unbeknownst to viewers, she was shooting the Women’s Health Cover.

The shoot took place days before Melinda jetted off to the Maldives for the filming of TIOT8, on which she is one of the celebrity contestants.

In her Women’s Health cover feature, she shares the hectic, six-days-a-week training regime that she followed to get in peak physical shape for the competition – which she is determined to win.

“The show didn’t tell us to train like this - this is my competitive spirit coming out,” she told Women’s Health. “I’m not a half-arsed kind of person. Whatever you do, do it exceptionally and then you’ve done your part and the rest will happen.”
