Cape Town - The "Princess of Africa" Yvonne Chaka Chaka together with her prince charming Dr Tiny Mhinga recently celebrated three decades of marital bliss.
The duo tied the knot on 7 October 1989 and to mark the milestone, the Makoti singer posted a video where they posed a few snaps in which Dr Mhinga didn't seem as comfortable in front of the camera as his wife.
She attributed the longevity of their union to the grace of God.
"Thank u God ,thank u family ,friends and all our supporters. Today is our 30 th anniversary. I was 24 when i said Yes I do now I am 54 .all this by God’s Grace 7 th Oct 1989 [sic]," she tweeted.

Even though they’ve not been secretive about their marriage, they’ve managed to keep their image clean of any scandal that could have grabbed headlines.

If anything, their union has been inspirational. The mother to four sons told DRUM in a previous interview that her husband is a good partner, especially when it comes to parenting.
"We shared responsibilities," Yvonne said, talking about parenting as the good doctor had to care for the kids when they were younger. This was mostly because she was performing and would come back home in the wee hours of the morning.
