Zodwa Wabantu compares her style to Rihanna: She is beautiful, I'm a demon - NSFW

Cape Town - After being called out for her lewd outfit choice at the 2019 Durban July 2019,  Zodwa has taken to social media, voicing her opinion about the double standards in the entertainment industry.

Zodwa wore her most revealing outfit yet at this year's horseracing event wearing a sheer gown, with a black halter bodice and high-cut panties worn underneath.

The mesh gown was encrusted with hundreds of glittery crystals.

Known for her barely-there fashion choices, Zodwa was called out by several social media users for showing off what they deemed too much skin.

"What an example for your children exposing your body that way? You can only be sick," one Instagram user commented. Other said: "Honestly speaking, you need to change your clothing style."

Hitting back at the public backlash, Zodwa compared her style to that of Rihanna and Serena Williams, sharing photos of their revealing looks on Instagram.

The local entertainer compared how people praise the international stars when show off skin, but she is called a "demon."

She is Beautiful. Not this Demon, Zodwa Wabantu," she captioned a photo of Rihanna wearing a sheer, crystal-covered dress to the 2014 CFDA Fashion Awards.

Sharing a photo of Serena Williams' August Harper's Bazaar cover, she wrote: "We respect her. Not this Zodwa Wabantu."

On the cover, Serena Williams puts her legs on full display wearing a gold Ralph Lauren cape.
