Cape Town - Breast cancer survivor and author Zoleka Mandela (38) and husband Thierry Bashala recently welcomed their fifth baby Zenzile Mutoba Bashala.
Zoleka’s sister Zindzi Mandela posted the first picture of baby in her mother’s arms on Twitter.
“Birth of my 7th grandchild Zenzile Mutoba Bashala #proudmom #onelove,” she captioned the adorable snap.

In 2017 Zoleka was informed by her oncologist that having another child could increase her risk of getting cancer again.
“I am 37 years old and have been pushed into early/medical menopause twice in my life. Pregnancy and weight gain increase estrogen in my body which only accelerates the growth of cancer cells,” she said in a previous Instagram post.
“I cried myself to sleep last night, told myself I’d cry for an hour only then keep it moving but only fell asleep at 2 AM, having cried for what felt like an entire day. I just want to have another baby; I thought I would be in the process of trying for twins this year. I guess I haven’t quite come to terms with my infertility,” she said.
But she still remained hopeful sharing her workout routine and healthy eating with family and friends and now she is a mother again.
