Nianell and her man split after 14 years of marriage!

There's something wrong with the world when a couple get divorced after 14 years of marriage! But it's happening to Nianell and we are totes upset!

According to Rapport, the Afrikaans pop singer and her hubby Andrew Thompson have called time on their relationship after 14 year marriage and 17 years of being together.

The singer told the Sunday paper that the couple are happy together but realised long ago the spark was gone. "This is not a decision we made overnight. We tried for years to make it work," she says, before adding; "Me and my man are very happy together but we realised years ago that we were just good friends and that there was no connection between us like a married couple should have".

The couple have already told their seven year old triplets about the split, but promised them they would see both mommy and daddy everyday."In my eyes he's the best father in the world" Nianell told the paper, adding that the couple were determined to make sure the triplets would have the opportunity to see both parents everyday.

Now that's what we call conscious uncoupling!
