Okmalumkoolkat is known for his crazy taxi driver dance, perhaps more than even his music. But this week the rapper had to defend his moves.
The trouble all started when Okmalumkoolkat took to Instagram to boast that his famous taxi driver dance was everywhere and that it was time for people to get a new dance move. Of course, he offered to provide a new move if only people would stop copying him.
But it seems one of his fans took exception to the post and he called out Okmalumkoolkat for copying a dance that originated years back in Berkley with Lil B. That was enough to start an argument between the fan and Okmalumkoolkat, where the rapper denied ever saying he created the move, but only gave it an African twist and asked the fan to do his research. Okmalumkoolkat then quickly deleted the entire conversation.
But like those little yappy dogs, the fan wouldn't give up. After Okmalumkoolkat explained he had adapted the dance from a cooking move, the fan responded with stinging comments asking the rapper how much he knew about Hip Hop sociology, geography and copying.
Tjo, all this dramz over a dance move? Really, guys?
