Tommorrow marks the two year anniversary of the shooting that left model Reeva Steenkamp dead and Oscar Pistorius behind bars.
Eyewitness News has learned that the former Blade Runner has settled into his new life as an inmate.
Oscar was sentenced to five years in prison for the killing of Reeva but is expected to serve less than a year in prison before he's eligible for parole.
Even though the Department of Correctional Services does not discuss the lives of inmates, a prison official spoke off the record to EWN.
Apparently Oscar's high-profile status sees him treated like royalty behind bars as the department is afraid that if anything happens to him it will be a huge embarrassment.
The official added that Oscar doesn't talk much and prefers spending time by himself.
Meanwhile, its also been reported that the National Prosecuting Authority has filed its notice to appeal Oscar's culpable homicide conviction.
