Oscar Pistorius currently in custody

Oscar Pistorius will remain in holding cells at the North Gauteng High Court until 4pm this afternoon.

Thereafter Oscar will be transported to prison, where he will serve the sentence handed down to him by Judge Thokozile Masipa this morning.

The National Prosecuting Authority told eNCA that they are disappointed with the judgment but take solace in the fact that Oscar Pistorius will serve time in jail.

The NPA has not decided if it will be making an appeal.  It has also emerged that depending on the act, which Oscar was sentenced under, he could end up serving 10 months in prison but this is at the discretion of a prison head.
