Oscar Pistorius doing 'well' in prison

Johannesburg- Former athlete Oscar Pistorius is reportedly doing well in prison.

Oscar was convicted for Culpable Homicide last year after the shooting of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentines Day in 2013.

Oscar's legal team have indicated that they are hoping he will be released as early as August. If this happens, Oscar would have spent nine months behind bars.

Oscar was sentenced to five years in prison but could be released after serving jail time for ten months to complete the rest of his time under house arrest.

The former sports hero apparently spends 23 hours of his day in an isolation wing reading his bible and praying.

This is according to Oscar's lawyer Rohan Kruger, who spoke to the UK Sunday Times. Rohan explained to the paper that Oscar is still in "bits and shock" about Reeva's death, and has not come to terms with what has happened to him.

Rohan added that upon Oscar's release he would like to work with children.
