Our totally rad interview with Aloe Blacc

American Singer-songwriter Aloe Blacc has been touring South Africa the last couple of days, playing shows in Cape Town and at Oppikoppi. We decided to play a game of musical meanings with him...

All though this isn't the first time he's been here, he tells The Juice he's really enjoyed his trip here:

Aloe! You've been in SA for the last few days. What have you been up to? Thanks. I've really enjoyed it. I've been here before but this time I was able to get some time to do something outside of performing. I've been doing some charity work and also got to visit some Nelson Mandela legacy sites. It's been nice.

What's the one thing you wanna take home with you from South Africa? Borewors? Nah. I guess the only thing I really want to take away from my tour, besides what I've already done with my charity work, is the knowledge that my fans really enjoyed my shows.

Let's play a game, Aloe. We're gonna read you the titles of some of your most famous singles in a question. Tell us the first thing that comes to mind!

Love is killing me: We hear love is killing you, tell us what is worse than a broken heart? Probably Betrayal

Wake me up: What's the first thing you do when you wake up? Brush my teeth.... and then eat. (We hear he's quiet a health nut).

Dollar: If you had a dollar what would you spend it on? Helping others

The man: You're the man but what if you woke up a woman? I would call my mom and ask her what I should do?

Finally, this isn't one of your songs but it's still very important!  If you were Barack Obama what flavour tissues wold you use? I didn't even know you got flavoured tissues but I guess I would go with Lemon?!
