Pallance Dladla wants to put SA acting on the map

Pallance Dladla has come a long way since winning acting reality show, Class Act. The actor has since starred on different shows and recently played his first lead role in the movie, Hard To Get.

This year, Pallance joined Rhythm City and described being on the show as an exciting experience. "You're only as good as your co-actors. So, for me to have a team that's working the way they do, is amazing. I can only get better." Pallance, who stars alongside renowned actors like Jamie Bartlett and others, said he doesn't really get star-struck on the show. He explained: "It helps actually to be on feet, keeps me on my toes. It helps me want to give something back as well."

The former Isibaya actor replaced Lungile Radu as Sbu on the etv soapie. When asked about being someone's replacement, he said: "For me it's just like any other project. I just do my job. I'm not an imitator and can't imitate anyone."

Although his career seems to be blossoming, Pallance said he's just getting started. "I just got into this industry and I'm just trying o figure it out."

On his future plans, he said: "I would want to participate in building a bridge that would link us continentally and internationally... I want to put South Africa there. I think it's up to us right now." He added that SA has a lot of material and resources right now. "I feel like the whole world needs to know what we're about. We need to believe in ourselves more."
