Phat Joe on Take Me Out SA: "I remain my fun self"

Phat Joe is definitely winning! The Metro FM DJ has received nothing but love as the host of  SABC1's Take Me Out SA.

Speaking to Move, he said: "I have been pleasantly surprised by the love and warmth the show has received. Kudos to the production team, the cast, audience, and of course, the format - they all made it easy for me to do the job."

Phat Joe, who is known for speaking his mind on both radio and TV, said he would not change his presenting style on the show. "I remain true to myself. Sometimes I joke around with the girls, the contestants, or the audience. It's part of who I am."

While celebs wait in long audition queues hoping to score gigs, the Real Goboza host said: "The Joe Joe doesn't audition. No, I'm kidding. Somehow the producers believed that I was perfect for the role and only saw me perform for the first time during rehearsal day."
