Pics: On the set of Mmabatho Mantsho's "controversial" short film

Johannesburg - Mmabatho Montsho had decided to swap her place in front of the camera for a spot behind it, as the director of the short film, The Groom’s Price.

Mmabatho, who most of us will remember from Generations and Isidingo, studied film directing in L.A and hinted in interviews last year that she had taken up directing for a new film.

Mmabatho has started filming this week and promises fans that it will have everyone talking.

Mmabatho explains that the film is a romantic comedy about a young woman who tries to pay lobola for her man.

We can't wait to see it! But for now, we'll just have to be content with these behind-the-scenes snaps of the shoot.

All day everyday. There's no story I can't tell.
