Johannesburg- Actress Rami Chuene has dismissed rumours that she was fired from Muvhango for being a "diva."
The actress played the role of Khomotjo on the SABC2 soapie for a year, before reports emerged that she was cut out because of being "bitchy and demanding" on set.
But Rami is quick to squash these rumours.
"I don't know anything about the firing. Khomotjo was a character, and characters have story lines. That is what happened. And I moved on," she told Drum magazine.
"It's better to leave, than stay when you're miserable"
It's been two years since Rami divorced her ex-husband, Tsepo Desando. And even though divorce is never easy for anyone, Rami says that there's nothing wrong with it.
This is something she learnt from her own divorce. The mother-of-three told the mag that she's in a happier place and is still very much a believer of love.
"Divorce is not a bad thing. The circumstances around it are what might be wrong. But getting out of something when you realise it's not working, is not. That is what I did," she added.
