Reason: "People will get to see the real me"

Reason will be revealing his private life on etv's Rolling With this Sunday. The rapper, who keeps to himself most of the time, will share his life with the nation and hopes that this will give people a better understanding of who he is.

"People will get to see the real me, where I come from, the real Sizwe. It is a chance for them to see me, friends, family, work and everything I am," he said.

The show explores the lives of some of SA's favourite public figures by spending the day with them. "I've never really shown much of myself. I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea."

Perhaps this will give fans a chance to see what it took Reason to come up with hits like Bump The Cheese Up and No Sleep. The songs blew up and they both had remixes with some of SA's finest artists. Some of his career highlights include opening for American rapper, Nas. Oh, and there's talks of collaborating with Timbaland.

But did Reason, who's past gigs include delivering breakfast jingles for DJ Fresh years ago, ever think he'd get this far? "I hoped I'd be this big. Ten years ago I wouldn't have known that I'd be here today," he said.

Looking back to where he started his career, he ssays he's learnt that no one is perfect. "I've learnt that we all make mistakes and nothing is permanent. You just always need to be on your A-game."

Reason is working on his new album Audio HD and has collaborated with Donald, Tumi, LCNVL and others. The album is expected to drop later this year.

To learn more about the rapper watch Rolling With on etv at 6:30pm.
