Reeva's mom describes her pain in an upcoming book

Reeva Steenkamp's mom has detailed the unbearable pain she felt after the loss of her beloved daughter.

June Steenkamp has documented every detail of the days that followed Reeva's death in her upcoming book, 'Reeva: A Mother's Story', which goes on sale from 10 November.

Sunday Times has exclusively published the first three extracts of the book, in which June, remembers the worst day of her life.

In the extracts June remembers the night before Reeva's death and how the model merrily chatted about cooking Oscar a romantic dinner on Valentines Day, the same night she was shot.

Reeva's mom remembers how she and husband Barry couldn't believe that their beautiful daughter was dead. June says that when the detective called to inform them of the horrible news, it felt as if their whole world had crumbled.

"I'm hysterical, screaming, sobbing uncontrollably. This cannot be true. The worst thing in the world has happened  - it really has - this beautiful, perfect child of mine is dead," read a line from the extracts.

The book goes on sale at bookstores nationwide from 10 November.
