Johannesburg - Comedian Tumi Morake had Mzansi in a tizz recently when she revealed that she was in danger of having a heart attack last year (Read more about that here).
But in a chat to The Juice, Tumi reveals she is fit, happy and more obsessed with comedy than ever before.
"I'm hungry for this career. I love this career. It's scary. It keeps me in the moment. It's frigging awesome! I've become addicted to stand up comedy," she says.
Tumi says she is trying new things, including a new haircut and says she has gone past the point of having to prove herself to others and to the industry.
"I don't care what people say about me on social media because I hear the laughter in the moment, I heard the applause, I saw the standing ovation. It's a thrill and that's all that matters!" she says.
As the only female comic nominated in the prestigious Comic of the Year category at this year's Savanna Comic's Choice Awards (to be held this weekend) Tumi is realistic about her chances.
She jokes that the fact she has given birth three times during her career and is still at the top should be enough to secure her the award, but says no one can touch Trevor Noah at the moment.
"I know there's no chance up against Trevor because I don't have a Daily Show in any country. How do you top the Daily Show? If it wasn't for that, I would be confident, but the man doesn't mess around. That's what you need to beat Tumi Morake," she says.
