Reports: Bafana star arrested for skipping court

Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana defender, Ayanda Gcaba, was arrested for contempt of court on Thursday for not appearing in court.

According to the Daily Sun, Ayanda was suppose to appear in court in January, after he was arrested for speeding, but the Bucs star never pitched and a warrant for his arrest was given.

Apparently the reason for Ayanda's no-show was not the fact that he was being distracted by that student he was sharing with Themba Zwane (remember that? - same girl) but rather that the defender had been called up to the Bafana Bafana squad.

He did not however notify the court of this nor SAFA that he had to appear in court.

But the police finally caught up with Ayanda on Thursday and arrested him. He has since appeared in court- so at least he eventually ended up in one.
