Johannesburg- Drum magazine is reporting that DJ Tira's previous marriage crumbled because of the use of muti.
When the Afrotainment boss got divorced in 2009, it was unclear what caused the split.
However, according to a source who spoke to the magazine, DJ Tira was furious when he found out that his ex-wife, Lale Ngcobo, used muti that was intended to keep him forever.
"The two went to see a woman here in Durban for the love potion. The sangoma told Lale to bring some of DJ Tira's dirty socks before she made the muti for her," the source told the mag.
Apparently Lale also had to add a drop of her child's tears into the muti in Tira's food. It's believed that Tira's family suspected that something was wrong in their marriage, so consulted with another sangoma, who brought the use of muti to light.
The source also claimed that after a cleansing ceremony, Tira immediately moved out of their home and filed for divorce.
When called for comment DJ Tira apparently laughed off the claims.
"Why are you talking about something that's in my past? I don't want to be dragged into this issue again. I've moved on," he said.
