Johannesburg- Despite maintaining that veteran actor Vusi Kunene is still a part of Isibaya, producers were reportedly shocked by the move.

Last week Generations:TheLegacy creator, Mfundi Vundla, confirmed that Vusi, who previously played villain Jack Mabaso, would be returning to the soapie. (Read that story here)

Jack's comeback is an attempt by producers to add some spice to the current storyline.

Mzansi Magic has maintained that an actor of Vusi's calibre can be expected to explore more than one option in a thriving industry, saying 'he is still one hundred percent part of the telenovela where he plays the character of Bhekifa Ngubane. '

However, City Press is reporting that producers were shocked by Vusi's move and apparently only learned about it through the media.

Sources told the paper that Vusi did not inform his current employers before he signed a contract with Generations: The Legacy.

It still hasn't been confirmed when Jack will be back on the soapie.

At least fans can now get a double dose of Vusi!
