Johannesburg- Isibaya's Bongani Gumede was reportedly admitted to hospital last week after falling ill.
According to Sunday Sun the popular actor was admitted to Rietvlei Hospital in KZN for an unknown illness.
Various sources told the paper that Bongani was driven to the hospital by someone else and tried to protect his identity.
Apparently his condition was so bad that he didn't even want any visitors.
"Not even his own family members were allowed in. We don't know what's bothering him because no one wants to talk," the source told the paper.
Isibaya publicist Emma Ngomane confirmed that Bongani was hospitalised.
"We're in contact with Bongani Gumede and can confirm that he has been discharged. We're looking forward to having him back on set," she said.
