Johannesburg- Muvhango's Simphiwe Ngema, who plays the character of Thuli has reportedly been written off the script.
Sunday Sun is reporting that Simphiwe stopped shooting with the soapie about two weeks ago.
According to the paper's sources producers allegedly described her character as "useless."
Speaking to the paper, Muvhango's publicist Amanda Ngudle confirmed that Simphiwe is no longer shooting for the soapie, due to the replanning of her character.
"She won't shoot with production for the whole season. Scriptwriters are responsible for her character. They found out that it's not that attractive, but that doesn't mean she won't appear any more. She stopped shooting with production two weeks ago and will be appearing till March next year," Amanda explained.
Simphiwe declined to comment on the matter.
