Sechaba Pali receives death threats

Johannesburg- They say home is where the heart is but for gospel star, Sechaba Pali, it's also where his enemies live.

The singer was meant to travel home to Welkom in the Free State this weekend for his sister's lobola negotiations, but has had to put his plans on ice after receiving death threats.

According to Sowetan the death threats are allegedly from people linked to the municipalities' mayor.

Sechaba was allegedly beaten up by the mayor's men last time he visited home in February. This after he confronted the mayor who apparently owes him more than R100 000.

Sechaba, who is rumoured to be broke, has never received his money, instead he received a beat down and threats.

The mayor's office has denied knowledge of additional threats against Sechaba, and say they take the accusations very seriously.

Still, we think it's probably wise that Sechaba skips this trip.
