Simba Mhere trial postponed to December

Johannesburg - The case against the man accused of culpable homicide and reckless and negligent driving has been postponed to December.

Preshalin Naidoo appeared in the Randburg Magistrates Court yesterday, where the trial was set to begin.

But Naidoo's Naidoo's lawyer withdrew from the case, leaving the magistrate no alternative but to give him time to find another lawyer.

This morning the trial was postponed to 8 December.

Yesterday would have been Simba's birthday and his family and friends were in court to show their support for the Top Billing star.

"We just want closure on this issue. There has been delay after delay," Simba's friend, Jonathan Boynton-Lee told us.
