Former Generations actress Sindi Buthelezi has long since laid the past to rest.
At the time of the Generations debacle, there were a string of reports claiming that Sindi was broke, which forced her to go back home.
But Sindi has confirmed to Drum magazine that there was no truth to the reports. Apparently she did move back home to Heidelberg, but it was because the option was open to her, not because she was broke.
"I was never broke and I'm not from Durban. I went back home because I didn't have any income coming in," she told the mag.
Sindi also explained that her journey into the acting world was not an easy one. So when she got the role on Generations it was a blessing.
When the 16 cast members were fired Sindi knew that her character Zinhle could not exist without Choppa and even though it was a difficult time she's moved on from that.
Sindi has managed to secure a job as the ambassador for The Green Garden, which is an NGO that focuses on tackling obesity in the country.
There's apparently plans to bring out a TV show linked to the project and Sindi is hoping to host it, but she could not divulge too many details.
