Siphiwe Mtshali allegedly owes garage petrol money

Oh wow!

Rhythm City actor Simpiwe Mtshali reportedly drove off after filling up his car at a petrol station.

The Daily Sun reported that the actor, who plays Dash on the show, arrived at the Engen garage at Modderfontein on Saturday in a white Mercedes-Benz, accompanied by a female passenger. He asked petrol attendants to fill the tank. Johannes Ramila, who's the garage manager, explained: "His bill came to R822. Then he offered his debit card for payment." The card was reportedly declined.

"The attendant tried two other speedpoints and the card was still declined. When the attendant told Siphiwe there was an ATM that he could use to draw money the angry actor refused," Johannes told the paper.  The actor allegedly started throwing his weight around and telling the staff that they didn't know who he was. "Then he stormed out of the shop and drove off." This was apparently not the first time Siphiwe had driven off without paying. "Last month, he came to the garage and put in R200 worth of petrol and left without paying."

Siphiwe confirmed the incident. He said his card had reached the daily limit so he wasn’t able to settle the payment then. He also confirmed that he went back to the same garage yesterday morning and paid what he owed in full. But Johannes told the paper that they have not seen not seen or heard from him since Saturday morning.
