Johannesburg - Musician Sipho ‘Hotstix’ Mabuse is a free man!
This after charges against the legendary musician were withdrawn and struck off the roll on Friday.
Sipho appeared in the Lenasia Magistrate’s Court in Johannesburg on Friday morning. He was notified that the two men who had opened assault and kidnapping charges against him had withdrawn the case.
Sipho made headlines earlier this month after holding two men, who worked for him, hostage. It was reported that after he caught them stealing, he kidnapped them and beat them. He handed himself over to police and was later released on bail.
Sipho has not commented on the matter up until now, saying that it was a legal issue.
The issue sparked widespread condemnation, with many lambasting the musician for taking the law into his own hands.
Various media reported that Sipho had admitted to his actions, but said that the men had pleaded with him not to go to police after he caught them stealing.
