Johannesburg - Skeem Saam actress Makgofe Moagi reportedly applied for an interim court order, at the Randburg Magistrate's Court, against her former lover for physically, emotionally and psychologically abusing her and her mother.
According to a Sunday World insider, Moagi, who plays Charity in the series, wrote in her application that her ex-husband who's also the father of her baby, was not only bent on destroying her current marriage but also abused her mother, who suffers from high blood pressure and heart disease.
"She says her mother keeps on going to a doctor for medication because her high blood pressure has gone up as a result of his insults and abuse to her. She fears that this will affect her mother badly as she has heart problems," the source told the newspaper.
Furthermore, the source claims she feared that her ex would kidnap their child after taking away the child's passport.
However, Moagi refused to comment on the matter. "I can't comment on the matter because I don't talk about my private life in the media," she told Sunday World.
The baby daddy, on the other hand, said: "I can tell you that the application was not made by her but by somebody else. Even in court she argued differently."
And, for the happy-ending (or sort of)...
It turns out her domestic violence case was withdrawn on Wednesday after a mediation with the man's lawyers.
