Slikour on his future, music and Bonang

Slikour's really got his eye on the money right now. The rapper, who launched his hip hop music site SlikourOnLife last year, is also looking to launch another project in 2015. The site, which boasts around 70 000 users a month, is turning one on 13 December.

Slikour was on CliffCentral on to talk about his music and his future plans. Of course his relationship with Bonang Matheba also came up. The two dated a few years ago and it seems like many people are still not over the break-up, although both celebs have moved on.

Speaking on the show, Slikour said: "If there's one thing I regret about my relationship with her is that it was in public. And, it doesn't allow me to be her friend, sometimes the way I could just call her up and check up on her. I think, you know, when we started, everything that she is she used to say this is what she wants to be. All the things she wanted to be, I wanted to be in the background. I think we're both living the lives that we both wanted to live."

Although he admitted that he helped Bonang with her Legit deal, he said he can't take the credit for who she has become. "She was totally ambitious and she still is. I bumped into her a couple of months ago and she was like 'yo, I was out there doing the Woolworths thing and all I could do is just think of you because these are the things that we used to talk about. These are the dreams that I used to have. She used to talk about being on Top Billing while we were going out..."

Slikour told the station that if there's one person he's loved in relationships, Bonang is probably that person. He added: "I do feel that sometimes as a friend, if I had to hang out with Bonang it's going to be a big deal, it's going to be this thing. But the truth of the matter is that I think that's my biggest regret. I sometimes can't reach out to her and be like 'yo, are you cool, how are you doing' without it becoming a big deal and people assuming that it's the next thing."

The rapper also mentioned that he is in a happy relationship with his girlfriend. They've been dating for two years.
